Innova Corporate (India) offers a range of homopolymers of polyacrylic acid (PAA) with varying molecular weights (1,000 to 100,000 Da) for Amritsar's water treatment, detergent, and industrial applications. Low molecular weight PAA (MW 1,000-5,000) acts as a threshold scale inhibitor for calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate, effective at 1-10 ppm – ideal for cooling towers in tanneries and hotels, and low-pressure boilers. Medium MW (5,000-15,000) provides good dispersion of silt, clay, and iron oxides – used in cooling towers with turbid Ravi river water (monsoon) and in reverse osmosis pretreatment. High MW (50,000-100,000) is used as a thickener and flocculant in some processes (e.g., mineral processing, but for flocculation we recommend polyacrylamides). For Amritsar's cooling towers (tanneries, textile mills, hotels), low MW PAA (e.g., 2,000-3,000) is preferred for scale prevention. For boilers (especially with softened water), medium MW PAA (8,000-10,000) disperses sludge and prevents iron deposition – important for tanneries using groundwater with iron. For effluent treatment (Amritsar's CETP for tanneries), high MW PAA can be used as an anionic flocculant, but we generally recommend copolymers for better performance. Our PAA homopolymers are supplied as 50% active liquids (clear to pale yellow) or powder (dry). They are anionic and compatible with phosphonates and most biocides. For detergent manufacturing (small local units), PAA acts as an anti-redeposition agent and builder. For ceramic and mineral processing (marble slurry, pottery), PAA reduces viscosity. We provide molecular weight distribution data (by GPC) on each batch. Available in 200L drums, 1000L IBC, and bulk. Technical support includes polyacrylate residual testing (turbidimetric method with Hyamine 1622) for Amritsar's customers.
