Innova Corporate (India) offers Coagulant Cationic Poly Electrolyte PE-607 – an ultra-high charge density (>9 meq/g), low molecular weight (approx. 300,000-500,000 Da) liquid coagulant for Amritsar's difficult-to-treat industrial effluents containing colloidal silica (from groundwater), clay (from Ravi river during monsoon), and negatively charged organic compounds (humic acids, anionic dyes). This product is particularly effective for reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment in Amritsar's tanneries and textile units, where colloidal fouling of membranes is a major issue. During the monsoon (July-September), Ravi river water carries high turbidity (300-500 NTU) consisting of fine clay and silt particles (<1 µm) that pass through conventional sand filters – PE-607 neutralizes these colloids, allowing them to agglomerate into filterable flocs. For Amritsar's food processing units (papad, pickle) that recycle wash water, this coagulant clarifies high-turbidity streams. For textile dye houses using reactive dyes, PE-607 also precipitates hydrolyzed reactive dyes that cause membrane staining. Dosage ranges from 20-80 ppm depending on feed turbidity and organic load. Unlike aluminum or iron salts (alum, PAC, ferric chloride), PE-607 does not add dissolved solids (TDS) to treated water – critical for RO feed because added TDS would increase osmotic pressure and reduce recovery. The polymer forms pin flocs (small, dense flocs) that settle quickly in a lamella clarifier or can be removed by dissolved air flotation (DAF). For Amritsar's hotels with RO systems for drinking water (e.g., near Golden Temple), using PE-607 as a pretreatment coagulant before cartridge filters and RO can extend membrane life by 2-3 years. Available as a 10-15% active liquid (viscosity 300-800 cP), shelf life 12 months. Dosing via electronic metering pump synchronized with influent flow. We supply jar test kits and turbidity meters (or SDI test apparatus) for Amritsar's customers to optimize dosage. For ZLD systems in tanneries, this coagulant is often used in the pretreatment of RO feed to achieve SDI <3. Pack sizes: 25L, 200L drums, 1000L IBC.
The percentage decolourisation obtained depends upon the INNOVA PE 607 quantity used, upto certain limits. Under normal conditions, 10 to 20 ppm, on juice is sufficient to achieve a high degree of decolourisation. The dosing point should be into the sulphited juice entering the Dorr Clarifier or in the mixed juice tank.
Higher dilution is necessary because of the concentrated nature of INNOVA PE 607 dilution at a level of 1:20, with water, is recommended prior to its being dosed. Dosing pumps should be used for dosing the diluted product to ensure thorough and proportionate mixing. Product dilution and feeding should be done from plastic barrels only.
INNOVA PE 607 has a long shelf life; it should be stored at ambient temperature. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and food. In case of contact, immediately flush eyes or skin with large amount of water several times.
INNOVA PE 607 is available in 25Kgs & 50Kgs drum.
