Innova Corporate (India) offers an Antiscalant for High Sulphate Water designed for Amritsar's industrial sites where groundwater or Ravi river water contains elevated sulfate levels (400-1200 ppm) due to natural gypsum deposits or industrial contamination (especially from tanneries and textile units). High sulfate combined with calcium (300-600 ppm) leads to gypsum (CaSO₄·2H₂O) scale which is extremely hard to remove. Our antiscalant uses advanced polyacrylate-sulfonate copolymers (AA/AMPS) and PCA (phosphino-carboxylic acid) technology to disrupt sulfate crystal nucleation and growth. For Amritsar's leather tanneries (chrome tanning), cooling towers and RO systems treating effluent face sulfate scaling – our antiscalant prevents scale even at 120% supersaturation of CaSO₄. For textile processing units using hard groundwater, it ensures uninterrupted operation of heat exchangers and membranes. Dosage: 4-10 ppm, effective up to 80°C (176°F). Unlike conventional antiscalants, our formulation does not precipitate with ferric or aluminum coagulants commonly used in Amritsar's effluent treatment plants (ETPs) for color and chromium removal. It also disperses clay and silt from Ravi water during monsoon. For zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems in Amritsar's leather cluster (mandated by PPCB for tanneries), this antiscalant enables recovery ratios >85% without sulfate scaling, reducing evaporation load. Available in 25L, 200L drums. We provide on-site scale prediction using OLI or ScaleSoft software for optimal dosing. Compatible with all common biocides and corrosion inhibitors.
In calculating the dose rate of INNOVA MT 065 for facilities in Amritsar, the membrane manufacturer's operating limits and local feed water quality should be strictly considered. All dose rate calculations should be made on the computer projection programme "e-WATER 5.0", which calculates the Ipb/Ksp ratio for calcium sulphate and other potential scaling salts specific to the Amritsar water table.
For Ipb/Ksp ratios < 3 the preferred product of choice is Tacelene Chem-7065; for ratios 2.8 to 7.0, INNOVA MT 065 is normally dosed at 5.0 to 25 mg/L in the concentrate, which is equivalent to 2.5 to 6 mg/L in the feed water for Amritsar based systems, dependent on the system recovery.
INNOVA MT 065 can be diluted with product water and should be applied continuously by means of a suitable metering pump. For the tea processing and rubber industries in Amritsar, continuous feed is essential since calcium sulphate is difficult to remove once precipitation has occurred in local filtration units.
INNOVA MT 065 has been developed specially as a calcium sulphate inhibitor, for waters with CaSO4 Ipb/Ksp ratio of 2.8 to 7.0. It functions by a powerful threshold mechanism of calcium carbonate, and is highly tolerant to the presence of iron.
