Innova Corporate (India) offers a comprehensive range of defoamers (antifoaming agents) essential for Bihar's industrial processes where foam causes operational problems – including cooling towers, sugar mills (evaporators, crystallizers), rice mills (parboiling), textile dyeing, effluent treatment plants (ETPs), and food processing. Foam in Bihar's cooling towers (sugar mills, rice mills) reduces heat transfer, causes water loss via drift, and can trigger biocide carryover (especially quats). For cooling towers, foam is often caused by biocide surfactants (quats), dispersants, or process contamination (oils, detergents). Our defoamer range includes: silicone-based (polydimethylsiloxane – PDMS emulsion, 10-30% active) – excellent for most water-based systems, effective at very low levels (1-5 ppm), high temperature stability (up to 100°C), but may cause fish eyes if used in paints or coatings; non-silicone oil-based (mineral oil + hydrophobic silica, 20-40% active) – for food-grade applications and where silicone is prohibited; water-based polyglycol defoamers (polypropylene glycol – PPG, or block copolymers of EO/PO) – for high-temperature systems (>80°C) and for use in ETP aeration tanks where silicone would coat bacteria; powder defoamers (calcium stearate, fatty amides) – for dry mixes. For Bihar's sugar mills (evaporators and crystallizers), foam from boiling sugar juice (high Brix) can cause severe carryover and product loss – we supply food-grade silicone defoamers that are effective at 2-10 ppm. For rice mills (parboiling vessels), foam from rice starch and proteins is controlled with water-based polyglycol defoamers. For ETP aeration tanks in Bihar's sugar and textile CETPs, biological foam (due to filamentous bacteria or high FOG) is controlled using water-based polyglycol defoamers that don't harm microorganisms (silicone can coat and kill bacteria). For food industry (dairy, fruit processing, petha sweets), our polypropylene glycol (PPG) or vegetable oil-based defoamers are FDA-approved (21 CFR 173.340). For textile dyeing and finishing, we supply non-silicone defoamers to avoid spots on fabric. Typical dosage: 5-50 ppm continuous or 100-200 ppm shock. Our defoamers are supplied as liquids of varying viscosity (200-5000 cP), easy to pump. For cooling tower applications, we recommend silicone defoamers because of their high efficiency (1-5 ppm) and compatibility with most treatment chemicals. We also provide defoamer test kits (shake test, bubble collapse time, foam height measurement). Available in 25L, 200L drums, 1000L IBC. For Bihar's sugar mills with large evaporators, we offer automatic defoamer feed systems (based on a foam sensor or timer).
