Color Removal Chemicals in Bihar

Innova Corporate (India) offers a Color Removal Chemical – a proprietary blend of dicyandiamide-formaldehyde polymer (DCDA-F) and polyamine derivatives specifically engineered for Bihar's textile and food processing effluents. The textile industry in Bihar – Bhagalpur silk, Patna handloom, and small dyeing units in Gaya and Muzaffarpur – uses a wide range of reactive, acid, direct, and vat dyes, resulting in wastewater with intense coloration (ADMI values often >2000 compared to BSPCB discharge limit of 200-400). Additionally, sugar mills and food processing units (fruit, petha sweets) may have natural color from caramelization, tannins, or fruit extracts. This color removal chemical works by forming insoluble complexes with dye molecules through ionic and hydrogen bonding, as well as co-precipitation. It is effective at low dosages (30-100 ppm) and over a broad pH range (5-11). Unlike conventional coagulants (alum, ferric), this product does not significantly increase sludge volume (sludge is compact, typically 20-30% less volume) and produces a compact, non-leachable precipitate that passes toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP). For Bihar's common effluent treatment plants (CETPs) for textile and silk clusters, adding this chemical after biological treatment (activated sludge process) reduces color to <100 ADMI meeting BSPCB standards for discharge into Ganges or for recycling. The product also removes color from sugar mill effluent (melanoidins from molasses) which is notoriously difficult to treat. It is compatible with polyelectrolyte flocculants (anionic or non-ionic) for enhanced settling. For zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems in Bihar's textile parks and sugar mills, this chemical is essential before RO membranes to prevent dye and color fouling, which is irreversible. Available as a 30-40% active liquid (amber to brown, viscosity 500-1500 cP). Dosing using a positive displacement pump (progressive cavity or peristaltic). We provide color measurement kits (handheld spectrophotometer or ADMI comparator) for on-site monitoring. For continuous treatment, we recommend inline static mixers or rapid mixing tanks. Pack sizes: 200L drums, 1000L IBCs. For large users (CETPs treating 10+ MLD), bulk tanker supply is available. Shelf life: 12 months (store below 40°C/104°F). We provide color removal efficiency testing using UV-Vis scans and ADMI calculations for Bihar's industries.
