PE-605 works by charge neutralization and bridging flocculation, converting fine colloidal particles (size 0.1-10 µm) – such as fats, oils, greases (FOG), proteins, starches, and suspended solids – into larger flocs that settle rapidly or float (in DAF). For Bihar's sugar mills, effluent from floor washing and spillage contains high COD (2000-5000 mg/L) and BOD (1000-3000 mg/L) from sugar, molasses, and bagasse fines. PE-605 reduces TSS from 2000 ppm to <100 ppm and COD by 40-50% at 60-120 ppm dosage. For rice mills (parboiling operations), it removes suspended solids (rice bran, broken rice, husk fines) and clarifies effluent for reuse.
