Innova Corporate (India) offers Isothiazoline (Isothiazolinone) based biocide – a broad-spectrum, non-oxidizing preservative and microbicide for Baddi's industrial water systems, paints, adhesives, metalworking fluids, and cooling towers. The active ingredient is a blend of CMIT and MIT at 1.5% or 14% active concentration. For Baddi's cooling towers (pharma, textile, food), isothiazoline is effective at 1-15 ppm for controlling bacteria, algae, and fungi. It is non-foaming, stable over pH 3-9, and does not produce toxic byproducts (no THMs, no AOX). For Baddi's water-based paint manufacturing (local units), isothiazoline prevents in-can spoilage at 0.05-0.1% – extending shelf life from 6 months to 2 years. For adhesives and sealants used in pharmaceutical packaging, it preserves the product. For metalworking fluids in Baddi's engineering workshops, it extends fluid life. One key advantage is its long residual activity (1-3 weeks), making it ideal for low-maintenance treatment of small cooling towers. However, it should not be used in systems with reducing agents like sodium sulfite (common oxygen scavenger). The product is supplied as a clear liquid with slight sulfur-like odor. Available in 25L, 200L drums. For dairy and food processing, we have a preservative-free alternative (not suitable). For reverse osmosis systems, isothiazoline can be used but avoid contact with membranes at high concentration (>15 ppm). We provide biocide rotation programs (alternating with glutaraldehyde or DBNPA) to prevent resistance. Shelf life: 12 months (store in cool, dark place – below 30°C/86°F). For biofilm control, use a dispersant alongside isothiazoline.
