Deposit Controller 304 is a specialized iron and manganese dispersant from Innova Corporate, crucial for Ahmedabad's groundwater-based industries. Many deep borewells in Ahmedabad's industrial areas – Sanand, Changodar, Naroda, and parts of Vatva – have elevated levels of dissolved iron (Fe²⁺, 1-5 ppm) and manganese (Mn²⁺, 0.5-2 ppm). These metals are not a problem in the reduced state (clear water), but upon exposure to air (in cooling tower basins, storage tanks, or after pH increase) they oxidize to ferric hydroxide (Fe(OH)₃ – reddish-brown rust) and manganese dioxide (MnO₂ – black deposits). These precipitates foul cooling tower fill media (causing mud balls), stain equipment (pumps, pipes, and product surfaces), and promote under-deposit corrosion. Deposit Controller 304 contains a low-molecular-weight polyacrylate (MW 2000-3000) and a phosphonate (usually HEDP or PBTC) that chelate iron and manganese ions, keeping them in solution even at pH 8.5-9.0 (typical cooling water pH). For already precipitated iron flocs, the product disperses them so they can be removed via blowdown. For Ahmedabad's hotels and commercial buildings using groundwater for cooling towers (many on SG Highway and Prahlad Nagar), iron fouling is a common complaint – brown staining on cooling tower louvers and heat exchangers. Adding Deposit Controller 304 at 5-20 ppm solves this problem. For textile processing units using groundwater for dyeing, iron stains on white or light-colored fabric are a major quality issue. Adding Deposit Controller 304 to the dye bath or the feed water at 10-30 ppm prevents iron from depositing on fabric. For reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment, iron can foul RO membranes irreversibly (catalytic degradation of polyamide); our deposit controller added before cartridge filters (after oxidation and multimedia filtration) extends membrane life. Dosage: 5-20 ppm depending on iron concentration (1 ppm Fe requires approx 5-10 ppm product). It is compatible with scale inhibitors and most biocides (except strong oxidizers at high concentration). Available as a 30% active liquid (amber color). We provide iron test kits (ferrozine or phenanthroline method) for monitoring iron levels before and after treatment. For closed loops with iron corrosion problems (e.g., old chilled water systems), use Deposit Controller 304 alongside a corrosion inhibitor for synergistic protection. Pack sizes: 25L, 200L drums. Shelf life: 18 months.
INNOVA BW 304 reacts with oxygen present in the boiler water thereby reducing oxygen corrosion. It contains a catalyst to ensure rapid reaction with oxygen.
A residual concentration of INNOVA BW 304 is usually maintained in boiler water. The right treatment level may vary depending on operating conditions like water Characteristics and boiler pressure. INNOVA BW 304 is readily soluble in water. It can be fed as such or diluted.
Proper feeding can be achieved by introducing the product or prepared solution into the boiler with on line dosage pumps. Solution if prepared, should be made in a covered tank. Since the solution can absorb oxygen from the atmosphere, not more than one days requirement should be prepared at onetime.
INNOVA BW 304 is best fed to the boiler feed water pump outlet. In case of systems with a de-areator, the best point of feed is the de-areator outlet.
Avoid contact with eyes or prolonged contact with skin. Do not take internally. In case of contact with skin, wash with plenty of water. In case of contact with eyes, flush with plenty of water for at least 10 to 15 minutes and seek immediate medical attention. Remove contaminated clothing and in severe cases seek immediate medical attention. Wear gloves and goggles wherever appropriate.
INNOVA BW 304 is compatible with most chemicals used in total boiler water treatment programs.
INNOVA BW 304 is available in 25kgs, 50 kgs & 200 kgs.
