Copolymers from Innova Corporate are high-performance scale inhibitors and dispersants based on maleic acid, acrylic acid, and sulfonic acid copolymer chemistry. These polymers are essential for Ahmedabad's water treatment applications where phosphonate-based antiscalants alone are insufficient, especially in high-hardness, high-pH cooling towers and boiler systems operating at elevated temperatures and cycles of concentration (4-6x). Our copolymers include: AA/AMPS (acrylic acid/acrylamido methyl propane sulfonic acid) – excellent for calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and iron oxide control, with high tolerance to chlorine and temperature up to 120°C; AA/HPA (acrylic acid/hydroxypropyl acrylate) – good for iron dispersion and calcium carbonate; MA/AA (maleic/acrylic, typically 1:1 ratio) – high thermal stability (up to 200°C) and excellent calcium carbonate inhibition, ideal for boilers; MA/VA (maleic/vinyl acetate) – for low pH applications and metalworking fluids; and terpolymers (AA/AMPS/MA or AA/AMPS/VA) – for superior performance across multiple scales (carbonate, phosphate, silicate, sulfate). For Ahmedabad's cooling towers operating at pH 8.5-9.0 and 40-45°C, AA/AMPS copolymers prevent calcium carbonate scaling even at LSI +2.5. They also disperse iron oxides, clay, and silt – critical during monsoon when Sabarmati water carries fine silt (up to 100 NTU). For Ahmedabad's textile and chemical industry cooling systems where calcium phosphate scale is a problem (due to phosphate-based corrosion inhibitors), AA/AMPS is highly effective (up to 90% inhibition). For boilers (especially medium-pressure 10-30 bar), MA/AA copolymers (MW 1500-5000) provide excellent thermal stability and sludge conditioning. For reverse osmosis antiscalant formulations, these copolymers are key components, especially for high-silica and high-iron feeds. The molecular weight range for scale inhibitors is 2,000-15,000 Da – lower MW (2k-5k) for threshold inhibition (crystal modification), higher MW (8k-15k) for dispersion of pre-formed particles. All our copolymers are thermally stable up to 120-200°C depending on composition. They are compatible with all common biocides (oxidizing and non-oxidizing) and corrosion inhibitors (orthophosphate, zinc, molybdate). Available as 30-50% active liquids and in powder form (90-95% active) for dry blending. For Ahmedabad's industries looking to reduce phosphonate use (to meet GPCB discharge limits), we offer copolymer-only programs where the copolymer is the primary scale inhibitor. Dosage: 2-10 ppm in cooling water, 5-25 ppm in boiler feed. We supply test methods for polymer concentration (turbidimetric titration with Hyamine 1622 or Toluidine Blue).
