Coagulant Cationic Poly Electrolyte PE-607 is a high-performance, ultra-high charge density (>9 meq/g), low molecular weight (approx. 300,000-500,000 Da) liquid coagulant specifically developed for Ahmedabad's difficult-to-treat industrial effluents containing colloidal silica (from groundwater or textile desizing), clay (from monsoon runoff), and negatively charged organic compounds (humic acids, lignins, anionic dyes). This product is particularly effective for reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment in Ahmedabad's textile and pharmaceutical sectors, where colloidal fouling of membranes is a major issue. During the monsoon (July-September), Sabarmati river water and even treated Narmada canal water can carry high turbidity (300-500 NTU) consisting of fine clay and silt particles (<1 µm) that pass through conventional sand filters and multimedia filters, leading to rapid SDI increase and RO membrane fouling. PE-607 neutralizes these colloids, allowing them to agglomerate into filterable flocs (10-100 µm). For Ahmedabad's car wash facilities and industrial laundries (which are common in the transport sector), this coagulant clarifies recycle water for reuse, removing anionic surfactants and dirt.
