Boiler Descaling Chemicals from Innova Corporate are heavy-duty acidic and chelant-based cleaners designed to remove existing hard water scale from Ahmedabad's industrial boilers that have suffered from inadequate pretreatment or upsets. The typical scale composition in Ahmedabad's boilers is calcium carbonate (70-85%), calcium sulfate (5-15%), and iron oxides (5-10%) – from the hard groundwater and occasional iron corrosion. Our descaling products include: inhibited hydrochloric acid (15-25%) – for fast removal of carbonate scales, but requires careful handling and post-neutralization; sulfamic acid (5-15%) – safer for handling (powder form), less fuming, and effective on both carbonate and sulfate scales; citric acid (5-10%) – for food-grade applications and for removing iron oxide deposits; EDTA-based alkaline descalers – for mixed deposits and for systems with copper alloys (EDTA does not attack copper). For Ahmedabad's textile processing units and dairies, we recommend a two-step process: alkaline flush (using our alkaline cleaner with surfactants and chelants) to remove oil, grease, and organic debris, followed by acid descaling with an inhibited acid. Our inhibited acid formulations contain proprietary corrosion inhibitors (acetylenic alcohols, quaternary ammonium compounds, or thiourea derivatives) that protect boiler steel (mild steel) and copper alloys from acid attack even during long circulation (4-12 hours). The products are used at 5-15% concentration by volume, heated to 60-70°C for optimal scale dissolution (a portable heater may be needed; do not exceed 80°C to avoid inhibitor breakdown). For severe scale (>5mm thickness), we may repeat treatment or use a higher concentration. After descaling, we provide neutralization chemicals (sodium carbonate or caustic) to raise pH to 7-8, and passivation solutions (sodium nitrite or tri-sodium phosphate) to restore the protective magnetite layer (Fe₃O₄). Field case: Ahmedabad textile mill's 6 TPH boiler had 4mm of hard scale, reducing efficiency by 25%. After a 6-hour circulation with our inhibited sulfamic acid, followed by neutralization and passivation, fuel consumption dropped by 12%, and the boiler passed a hydraulic test. We also provide post-descale borescope inspection to verify cleanliness. For food-grade boilers (dairy, sweets), we use citric acid based descaling because it leaves no toxic residues. All descaling operations require trained personnel; we offer on-site supervision for Ahmedabad's clients (especially first-time users). Waste acid must be neutralized to pH 6-9 and filtered before disposal into the municipal sewer or CETP. Available in 25L and 200L drums (liquid acids), 25kg bags (solid acids and chelants). We also supply descaling pumps (closed-loop circulation skids), hoses, and PPE kits.
