Deposit Controller 277 is a high-performance scale and deposit inhibitor from Innova Corporate formulated with a high molecular weight polyacrylic acid (PAA) and a maleic-acrylic copolymer, designed for Agra's cooling systems operating under extreme hardness and high pH conditions. This product is particularly suitable for once-through cooling systems (where water is used once and discharged) which still exist in some of Agra's older industries (textile, rubber). In once-through systems, the water has no time for chemical reactions; therefore a fast-acting threshold inhibitor is required. Deposit Controller 277 works by crystal distortion and chelation – it interferes with calcium carbonate crystal growth at the nucleation stage. It is effective at very low dosages (2-5 ppm), making it economical for high-flow applications. For Agra's marble and stone cutting units that use large volumes of water for cooling saw blades, this product prevents calcium sulfate and calcium carbonate scale on blades and nozzles, extending blade life by 40%. It also disperses stone fines (slurry particles), keeping water clear. For textile processing (jet dyeing machines, which are closed-loop but high shear), Deposit Controller 277 prevents calcium salt deposits on fabric and machine parts. The product has excellent thermal stability (up to 120°C) and is compatible with anionic and non-ionic auxiliaries. It is available as a 40% active liquid, specific gravity 1.25.
