TCMTB-based biocides (2-(thiocyanomethylthio) benzothiazole) are high-performance industrial microbicides offered by Innova Corporate for Agra's wood preservation, leather tanning, and industrial water treatment sectors. TCMTB is particularly effective against fungi, molds, and wood-rotting organisms – critical for Agra's furniture and handicraft industry (marble inlay wood frames) that requires long-term protection against humidity. In leather processing, TCMTB is a world-standard fungicide for wet-blue leather storage and transport, preventing damage during Agra's monsoon season (80-90% relative humidity). For cooling water systems, TCMTB provides excellent fungal and bacterial control at low concentrations (5-20 ppm continuous, 50-100 ppm shock). It works by inhibiting key enzymes involved in cellular respiration and ATP production. TCMTB is stable over pH 5-9 and resistant to high temperatures (up to 70°C). Unlike oxidizing biocides, it does not cause corrosion. In Agra's paper and pulp industry, TCMTB is used in white water loops to control slime and fungal growth on wire meshes. The product has low water solubility (formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate or dispersion). Always shake well before use. For Agra's tanneries, TCMTB dosing of 0.1-0.3% of hide weight prevents fungal growth for 3-6 months. Environmental note: TCMTB is toxic to aquatic life; discharge should be treated or neutralized. Use PPE when handling.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 20 to 50 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters.
INNOVA BCD 504 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.
Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 40 to 75 ppm of INNOVA BCD 504 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 30 to 65 ppm of INNOVA BCD 504.
The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 504 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 504 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
