Biocides Isothiazolinone Based (INNOVA BCD 407) in Agra

Innova's Isothiazoline-based biocides (also known as isothiazolinones) provide excellent preservation and microbiological control for Agra's industrial water systems, paints, adhesives, and metalworking fluids. The active ingredients (typically a 1.5% or 14% blend of chloromethylisothiazolinone (CMIT) and methylisothiazolinone (MIT) in a 3:1 ratio) are highly effective against bacteria, fungi, and algae at very low concentrations (1-15 ppm). For Agra's water-based paint manufacturing units and decorative coatings industry, isothiazoline prevents in-can spoilage, extending shelf life to 24 months. In cooling towers and evaporative condensers of Agra's hotels and shopping malls, these biocides provide long-term control (residual activity 1-2 weeks) without foaming or volatility. They are compatible with most non-ionic and anionic surfactants used in Agra's textile processing. Isothiazolines work by inhibiting key enzymes in microbial metabolic pathways (specifically, they react with thiol groups). They are stable over pH 3-9 and temperatures up to 50°C. However, they should not be used in systems with reducing agents like sulfite (oxygen scavengers) as it deactivates them. For Agra's leather tanneries, isothiazoline is used in chrome tanning floats to prevent bacterial damage. Environmental note: CMIT is non-persistent (hydrolyzes within days). Our product meets Agra's CETP discharge norms. Dosage: 10-50 ppm once every 7-14 days.

Advantages:

  • INNOVA BCD 407 kills micro-organisms by inhibiting microbial respiration and food transport through cell wall.

Dosage :

Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 50 to 120 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters.

Method of Feeding :

INNOVA BCD 407 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.

Feed Requirements :

Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 50 to 75 ppm of INNOVA BCD 407 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 25 to 50 ppm of INNOVA BCD 407.

Control Testing :

he best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 407 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment. Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved

Packing :

    INNOVA BCD 407 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
