Designed for Agra's most challenging industrial applications, our Biocides for Severe Fouling is a high-strength, synergistic blend of multiple active ingredients (including glutaraldehyde, DBNPA, and quaternary ammonium compounds) tailored to eradicate established biofilms and resistant microbial consortia. Agra's leather tanneries and textile dyeing units often suffer from severe biological fouling due to high organic loads (COD 2000-5000 mg/L), warm temperatures (35-40°C), and nutrient-rich effluents. This biocide formulation penetrates thick biofilm layers (up to 5 mm thick) that conventional biocides cannot reach, breaking down EPS (extracellular polymeric substances) and killing embedded sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) that produce corrosive H2S. For Agra's cooling water systems in petrochemical and engineering units (such as those near Agra's industrial estate), severe fouling leads to reduced heat exchange efficiency (up to 30% loss) and increased energy consumption. Our product provides a rapid initial kill (99.9% reduction within 2 hours) followed by residual activity for up to 72 hours. It is effective at high temperatures (up to 55°C) and over pH 5-9. For shock dosing in severe cases: 200-400 ppm once weekly, or 50-100 ppm continuously. Compatible with non-ionic and cationic dispersants. Warning: This biocide should be handled with PPE and not be mixed with strong oxidizers like chlorine or peracetic acid.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 20 to 30 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters.
INNOVA BCD 417 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.
Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 25 to 50 ppm of INNOVA BCD 417 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 20 to 40 ppm of INNOVA BCD 417.
The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 417 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 417 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
