Di-Chlorophenate based biocides (sodium 2,4-dichlorophenate and related formulations) are offered by Innova Corporate for Agra's industrial preservation and wood treatment sectors. This biocide is particularly effective against fungi, mold, and yeasts that plague Agra's humid environment – especially during the monsoon when humidity exceeds 80% for weeks. The product finds primary application in leather tanning (preserving wet-blue leather against fungal spots), textile sizing (preventing mildew on stored fabrics), and water-based paints (in-can preservation). For Agra's marble and stone processing units, dichlorophenate is added to recirculating cooling water to prevent fungal slime on nozzles and conveyor belts. The biocide works by uncoupling oxidative phosphorylation in microbial cells, showing good efficacy at pH 4-9. It is compatible with non-ionic surfactants and most antiscalants. However, care must be taken as it may react with oxidizing agents. In Agra's cooling towers, a shock dose of 100-200 ppm every 5-7 days controls fungal mats that otherwise clog fill media. The product also has limited algicidal properties. Environmental note: dichlorophenate has moderate toxicity to aquatic life, so discharge should be controlled. For Agra's small-scale tanneries operating zero liquid discharge, we recommend neutralization before disposal. The product is stable for 24 months in sealed HDPE containers.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs is 50 to 75 ppm for the effective control of biocidal activity. For pulp and paper mills 10 ppm dosage is recommended.
INNOVA BCD 425 should be fed as received and not diluted with water or mixed with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made through metering pump to minimise handling.

The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 425 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Use of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 425 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
