Innova Corporate (India) offers a high-performance Glutaraldehyde based Biocide, a broad-spectrum, non-oxidizing biocide widely used across Guwahati. Glutaraldehyde is valued for excellent biofilm penetration, effectiveness against SRB, and broad-spectrum activity. Facilities in Amingaon, Noonmati, and Bamunimaidam including tea processing estates, pharmaceutical units, and engineering industries benefit from our product. It works by cross-linking proteins and nucleic acids, causing irreversible cell death. Unlike many biocides, Glutaraldehyde kills both active and dormant microorganisms - effective in challenging conditions with high organic loads from tea and food effluents. Our product is particularly effective against sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) which cause pitting corrosion and H₂S odors in closed systems. It also controls Pseudomonas, Legionella, E. coli, and fungi/algae. It demonstrates rapid kill within 4-8 hours with residual effect (24-72 hours). Key applications include cooling water treatment, tea processing sanitation, pharmaceutical purified water disinfection, and ETP disinfection. It is effective across pH 6-9 and up to 60°C, compatible with corrosion inhibitors and antiscalants. Typical dosage: 20-100 ppm maintenance to 100-300 ppm shock. The product is biodegradable. By using Glutaraldehyde biocide, Guwahati industries achieve superior biofilm control, effective SRB control (reducing pitting corrosion, extending equipment life 3-5 years), improved heat transfer (10-15%), reduced H₂S odors, RO membrane compatibility, and PCBA compliance.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 100 to 125 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters. Although heavily slimed cooling systems may need 200 to 300 ppm as an initial, cleanup shock dose.
INNOVA BCD 500 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.
Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 100 to 150 ppm of INNOVA BCD 500 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 80 to 125 ppm of INNOVA BCD 500.
The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 500 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Use of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 500 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs
