Biocides For Severe Fouling (INNOVA BCD 417) in Gujarat

Innova Corporate (India) introduces our specialized Biocides for Severe Fouling, a powerful formulation engineered for the most challenging industrial water conditions in Gujarat. Facilities across Ahmedabad (Vatva, Naroda), Ankleshwar, Vapi, Surat (Sachin), Vadodara, Jamnagar, Dahej, and Mehsana often encounter extreme biological fouling due to high nutrient loads from process leaks (chemicals, solvents, pharmaceuticals, sugars, oils, organic compounds from textile and food processing), warm temperatures (cooling water return at 45-50°C in summer), high TDS (2000-5000 ppm), and aged piping with existing biofilm deposits (decades of fouling in older plants like Vatva, Naroda, Ankleshwar). Standard biocide programs often fail under these conditions, leading to reduced heat transfer (10-25% loss), increased pump energy (15-30% higher), accelerated corrosion under deposits (pitting, MIC), and frequent system shutdowns for cleaning (every 2-4 weeks in severe cases). Our Severe Fouling Biocide is a synergistic blend of multiple non-oxidizing biocides including glutaraldehyde, quaternary ammonium compounds, DBNPA, isothiazolinones, and TCMTB, combined with penetrants, dispersants, and surfactants. This multi-mechanism approach provides rapid kill of planktonic bacteria, penetration and destruction of established biofilms, dispersion of released biomass, and prevention of rapid regrowth (2-4 weeks protection). The product is effective against all major fouling organisms including Pseudomonas, Legionella, sulfate-reducing bacteria (common in refinery and chemical plant cooling), iron bacteria (common in iron-rich groundwater), fungi, algae, and biocide-resistant strains. It is particularly valuable for chemical plant cooling towers (Ankleshwar, Vapi, Dahej - severe organic contamination), pharmaceutical ETPs (high COD loads), textile processing water systems (Surat - dye and chemical contamination), refinery cooling systems (Jamnagar, Vadodara - hydrocarbon contamination), and food processing water systems (protein and carbohydrate contamination). Our Severe Fouling Biocide is typically applied as a shock dose of 100-400 ppm for 6-24 hours, followed by a maintenance program of 20-60 ppm continuous or intermittent. The product is stable at pH 4-9 and temperatures up to 80°C. It is compatible with most corrosion inhibitors and antiscalants but should not be mixed with strong oxidizing biocides like chlorine. By using our Severe Fouling Biocide, Gujarat industries can achieve reduction of existing biofilm by up to 95% within 24 hours, restoration of heat transfer efficiency (10-20% improvement), extension of time between mechanical cleaning (3-6 times longer - from 2-4 weeks to 3-4 months), reduction in under-deposit corrosion rates (by 50-70%), reduction in biocide resistant strains, and improved overall system reliability and production uptime.

Advantages in Gujarat:

  • INNOVA BCD 417 can be considered as an oxidizer, since bromine content it oxidize bacterial substrate found in regional water sources.
  • It functions in conjunction with chlorine to provide enhanced protection for local facilities. INNOVA BCD 417 is suitable for once through cooling systems in Gujarat, because of its fast acting biocidal action (contact time often less than 1 hour).

Dosage :

Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 20 to 30 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters.

Method of Feeding :

INNOVA BCD 417 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.

Feed Requirements :

Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 25 to 50 ppm of INNOVA BCD 417 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 20 to 40 ppm of INNOVA BCD 417.

Control Testing :

The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 417 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.

Uses of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.

Packing :

    INNOVA BCD 417 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
