Innova Corporate (India) offers Di-Chlorophenate based biocides (sodium 2,4-dichlorophenate) for Ethiopia's industrial preservation and wood treatment sectors. This biocide is highly effective against fungi, mold, yeasts, and some bacteria – especially problematic during Ethiopia's rainy season (June-September, 60-80% RH) and in warehouse storage. Primary applications in Ethiopia include: cooling towers – fungal mats in textile and food plants; textile storage – preventing mildew on stored fabrics and yarns (important for export-quality textiles); leather storage – preventing fungal growth on wet-blue hides during transport and storage; paper and packaging – preventing mold on corrugated boxes for export products; wood treatment – pallets and crates for industrial logistics. For cooling towers in textile mills and food processing plants, a shock dose of 100-200 ppm every 5-7 days controls fungal mats that clog fill media. The biocide works by uncoupling oxidative phosphorylation. It shows efficacy over pH 4-9 and is compatible with non-ionic surfactants. For wood treatment (pallets, crates for exports), we supply a higher concentration powder (80-90% active) for dip treatment. Environmental note: dichlorophenate has moderate acute toxicity to fish – for discharges into CETPs or Ethiopian rivers (Awash, Blue Nile, Rift Valley Lakes), we recommend neutralization and pH adjustment. Available as clear to pale yellow liquid (40-50% active) in 25L, 200L drums, and powder (80-90%) in 20kg bags. Shelf life: 24 months.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs is 50 to 75 ppm for the effective control of biocidal activity. For pulp and paper mills 10 ppm dosage is recommended.
INNOVA BCD 425 should be fed as received and not diluted with water or mixed with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made through metering pump to minimise handling.

The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 425 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Use of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 425 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs.
