Innova Corporate (India) offers Coagulant Cationic Poly Electrolyte PE-605 – a medium molecular weight (1-2 million Da), high charge density (6-8 meq/g) liquid polymer for Assam's industrial wastewater pretreatment – especially for tea factories (effluent from fermentation and washing), paper mills, and rice mills. PE-605 works by charge neutralization and bridging flocculation, converting fine colloidal particles – such as tannins, proteins, suspended solids, and organic matter – into larger flocs that settle rapidly or float (in DAF). For Assam's tea factories, effluent from fermentation (tea leaf juices) and washing has high turbidity, BOD (500-1500 mg/L), and color. PE-605 reduces TSS from 1000 ppm to <50 ppm and color by 80% at 60-100 ppm dosage. For paper mills (Jagiroad, Cachar), it clarifies white water and reduces fiber loss. For rice mills, it removes suspended solids from parboiling effluent. The product is effective over pH 5-11 and can be used with inorganic coagulants (alum, PAC, ferric chloride). Dosage optimization via jar testing is essential – we provide portable jar test apparatus and training for Assam's ETP operators. The polymer is supplied as a 0.2-0.5% solution (make down in clean water). For continuous treatment, we recommend a dosing skid with static mixer, aging tank, and metering pump. For powder form (100% active), we supply in 25kg bags with a make-down unit. The product is non-toxic and biodegradable, and sludge produced is non-hazardous. For Assam's common effluent treatment plants (CETPs) for tea and paper clusters, PE-605 is used as a primary coagulant before dissolved air flotation (DAF), achieving 90% removal of suspended solids and 70% removal of BOD.
