Innova Corporate (India) supplies Glutaraldehyde (25% or 50% active) – a broad-spectrum, non-oxidizing biocide for US cooling towers, RO systems, and preservation. Effective against SRB, Legionella, fungi, algae. For US power plants and refineries, shock dose 50-150 ppm weekly. For RO membrane sanitization, 0.5-1% for 30 min. For US oil and gas (Permian, Bakken, Marcellus), it controls SRB in water injection and fracturing. Non-foaming, degrades in 2-10 days (faster in warm climates). Pungent odor – handle with ventilation. Incompatible with strong oxidizers. Available in 25L, 200L drums. We provide glutaraldehyde residual test kits and Legionella control protocols per ASHRAE 188.
Dosage in cooling water treatment programs 100 to 125 ppm for effective control of biocide activity, for cooling waters. Although heavily slimed cooling systems may need 200 to 300 ppm as an initial, cleanup shock dose.
INNOVA BCD 500 can be fed as received or diluted with water minimum 10% concentration with any chemical feed solution. The chemical should be added to cooling tower basin (or any other point, which provides uniform mixing) addition should be made to metering pump to minimize handling.
Badly fouled systems must be cleaned before treatment to start. INITIAL DOSE - When the system is noticeably fouled, slug feed 100 to 150 ppm of INNOVA BCD 500 in the system. SUBSEQUENT DOSE - When the Microbial count is evident, slug feed 80 to 125 ppm of INNOVA BCD 500.
The best indication of the successful application of INNOVA BCD 500 is visual inspection of tower surfaces or monitoring changes in heat transfer on metal surface of process equipment.
Use of on-site bacterial counts or microscopic examination provide relative indicators of system cleanliness and biological control. If bacteria counts are used, Note that counts may be high immediately after biocide addition. Counts will be lower as control is achieved.
INNOVA BCD 500 is available in 25Kgs, 50Kgs & 200 Kgs
