INNOVA BW 448 is a synergistic blend of inorganic and organic chemicals designed for the control of corrosion and scale in boiler internals where alkalinity is very high.

Application:
The specific corrosion inhibitors in INNOVA BW 448 provide corrosion protection by the formation of a protective passive film on the metal surfaces. It avoids unnecessary increase of alkalinity in the boiler water with higher cycles of concentration. The protective layer prevents direct contact of the corrosive media (water) with the metal surface.
INNOVA BW 448 also contains powerful threshold inhibitor to prevent scale formation in feed water pipelines and boiler internals. The crystal distorter and specific dispersant incorporated in the product ensures high mobility of the phosphate sludge formed so that it is easily removed by blow-down. The dispersant also ensures that suspended particulate matter do not accumulate and are removed by the blow-down.

Dosage & Feeding:
INNOVA BW 448 can be dosed directly without dilution. Normally a phosphate reserve is maintained in the boiler water. The proper treatment levels vary with factors like boiler system, operating conditions, boiler pressure and water Characteristics. The product Characteristics and viscosity permit easy feeding by on-line dosage pumps. The desired feeding mode is the continuous injection to feed water.
Handling:
Avoid contact with eye or prolonged contact with skin. Do not take internally. In case of contact with skin, wash with plenty of water. In case of contact with eyes, flush with plenty of water and seek immediate medical attention. In case of ingestion, wash mouth thoroughly and drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting and seek medical attention. Avoid extremes of temperature and wear gloves and goggles wherever appropriate.
